Youth of the Nation

Hi all, Republic of Indonesia will celebrate its 63th years of Independence Day at this August,17th 2008.
^_^

It's quite interesting to take the theme and create a great nasionalism artwork. I was in a good mood doing this artwork as a symbolism of my nationalism


Let's go to the concept then:

.:: Youth Of The Nation ::.

I think all of nations on earth realize that youth is the most proper, important and valuable aset that build its future. Somehow, lot of things threaten their future. At this circumstance I take "Culture" that is the belongings of the nation itself that unique and eclectic. Nowadays, lot of Indonesian culture or custom that is really really easy to identified it as an Indonesian characteristic were "stolen".

Stolen which is pattened by other country and easily recognized it as their culture or their ancestor legacy. Of course with a little bit of modification and addition. It's include a traditional pattern art, dance, music instrument, exhibition art, songs, etc. Ironically, some of the natives proud of it, proud that their traditions or custom pattened by foreigner or other country.

I'm seriously worried about the matter of it. Hope that the youth of my beloved nation, the next generation can still have their pride and keep the culture.

Three young generations of Balinese people worried and sad about their custom that has "stolen". It is represent the anxious of losing their custom.

I put the bright colur to symbolize that no need to worry for the youth of the nation as long as they keep on the great attitude preserving the culture, it will be safe.

lot of Balinese patterns and textures symbolize the richness of Indonesian culture of art.
